Pastor Nory Vedan Leachon graduated Master of Divinity at Boston University, School of Theology. She finished her Bachelors Degree in Architecture in the Philippines. Prior to moving to Pleasant Street UMC she was the pastor at Holbrook UMC, Holbrook MA for three years (June 2012-Sept. 2015). She served as an Intern seminarian at East Saugus UMC for three years and one year at Good Shepherd UMC, Malden MA during her last year in seminary.
She worked at the US Dept. of State Refugee Processing Center in the Philippines (1989-1992) as a Cultural Orientation Instructor to Vietnamese refugees who resettled in the USA. She worked as an Assistant Architect in Malaysia and Architectural Coordinator in Singapore for fourteen years. Her involvement in Wesley Methodist Singapore with the Special Children’s Ministry and Ministry of Hearing Impaired led her to pursue her ministry calling. She speaks boldly and with conviction about her faith and loves the whole body of Christ in its diversity. Pastor Nory enjoys both traditional and contemporary worship and her passion to be in community gives her a sense of unity, hope and wholeness.
